In case you missed it, a new Tomb Raider game was announced this week at E3. Now, a few concept images of Rise of the Tomb Raider have emerged, providing a few hints as to what may be in store for Lara Croft in this follow-up to Crystal Dynamics' 2013 hit action adventure.

Wherever this game takes place, it's clearly cold and littered with dangerous wildlife. I can only imagine the sort of brutal death scenes for Lara that Crystal will work into this game. Getting mauled by a grizzly doesn't paint a particularly pretty picture.

Well it turns out he was lying. Or that the idea was greenlighted after our conversation. Either way, you should let bygones be bygones and check out the first gameplay trailer for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, which is coming to Xbox One "soon".
